My Story
Hello! I'm Candice, a licensed Esthetician, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), and founder of Nourished Skin Spa, a holistic skincare studio dedicated to supporting women through an integrative approach. I am licensed in MD (where I am originally from) and NC. My husband's job has moved us around but we have settled in NC with our sweet dog and couldn't be happier here.
I created Nourished Skin Spa to offer an alternative to the typical spa experience, one that's rooted in deep relaxation, intention, and holistic care. Providing integrative facials to soothe the nervous system, support your body's natural healing processes, and help you truly unwind while incorporating effective skincare formulated without harsh ingredients.
My journey began with my own skin and health issues. Over the years I have navigated through my sensitive/reactive skin but it all came to a head in my early thirties when I developed peri-oral dermatitis, eczema, and received an official diagnosis of Endometriosis. While frustrating, I saw this as an opportunity to dive deeper into what might be causing my inflammatory issues. What I ended up learning was true healing comes from treating the body as a whole, not just the surface. Taking inventory of my stress, nutrition, and lifestyle choices helped me heal and understand what does and does not work for my body. My experiences have shaped my passion for helping other women.

When deciding on a skincare line, I was very selective on who I wanted to partner with. I chose TOMA for many reasons. Not only are their products of high quality and effective, but their formulations are free of hormone-disrupting ingredients, parabens, synthetic fragrances, GMOs, and phthalates. Made in small batches and grown without pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers, and chemicals.
